I got my degree in architecture and worked in the field for 10 years before becoming a jewelry designer. As an architect, you are trained to dissect everything down to simple components and assess how they work together. This is how I approach jewelry design. I enjoy solving connections and functionality of every piece. I feel most accomplished when simplicity is reached and the beauty of the form is expressed.
My work is built from a framework of industrial metals which is filled with hand pigmented resin or covered with a powder coat finish. Resin is poured into the individual cells and sanded. The powder coating is applied to the surface of the metal and kiln fired. Each piece is built individually.
