I am currently a graduate student at San Diego State University working on my MFA in Metals and Jewelry. My BFA work at Indiana University was about creating new organic forms by melding found organic objects with silver that had been worked with traditional metalsmithing techniques. While these pieces were interesting in form and texture the color palette was very narrow. When I started graduate school I began exploring non-traditional materials that allowed for color exploration. I am interested in using plastic to create organic forms and textures that feel quite removed from this artificial material.
