Purple enameled floral pieces repeatedly wrapped in mustard yellow silk thread. The copper elements are oxidized black to compliment and give precedence to the colored pieces.

As a teacher, I know that color can make or break a piece. This series of necklaces embraces color. The enameled copper elements are comprised of decorative, ornate, and readily recognizable shapes. They are decidedly feminine, and are made of repeatedly wrapped, colored silk thread around paisley and floral motifs. The color and matte texture of the silk plays off of the glossy enamel in a complementary color scheme. This scheme was chosen to make the colors "pop". The result is a necklace series; striking for it's use of color.
